for the ryzen 5 2400G, does ram higher than 2933 even matter since it isn't supported in the specs of the APU?

On the amd site for the R5 2400G, it shows:

System Memory Specification: 2933MHz

I'm pretty sure this means max ram support, but I'm not sure.
