Hello, i just made an account on this wonderful site after lurking for months. So, i finally decided to get myself a gaming PC and i wonder if this setup is good?

Im planning to play mainly MMORPGs like Black Desert Online or Final Fantasy XIV. im mainly a 1080p Player. 8gb RAM is the most i can afford right now.

Im well aware that i might need a BIOS update for the Ryzen 5 2600 since my Motherboard is a B300 series. Im on a tight budget and the only thing i could change, is the PSU. Might i need a stronger one?

Im from Germany and i configurated this PC online if that helps. I cant build a PC my own, and the totaling price is 900€ including tests from the manufacturer.

PSU
Corsair Netzteil 550W ATX, CX550
Mainboard
MSI Mainboard B350 Tomahawk, AM4
CPU
AMD CPU AM4 Ryzen 5 2600 6x 3,4GHz Box
CPU Cooler
Scythe Katana 4
RAM
Corsair Vengeance LPX DIMM 8GB, DDR4-2666,
Graphic Card
GTX 1060, 6GB GDDR5
HDD
Toshiba DT01ACA 1TB, SATA 6Gb/s
M.2 SSD
Western Digital SSD 120GB, M.2 WD Green

I hope i did everything right with this post, and i cant wait for answers :)

Have a nice day!

Thats a decent build. Would be fine at 1080p 60fps for games you play.

Im not sure about that CPU cooler though. Ive never heard of it and im pretty confident that the stock Ryzen cooler would do just as good as the aftermarket one you are planning to buy. AMD has some pretty nice stock coolers.

Use the money saved from the Cooler to get a 2TB HDD instead of one. 1TB is too small for games these days IMO.

As for the PSU, that is fine. Its a decent budget PSU.

Thanks for answering! Reviews said that the cooler is fine, wont the CPU cooler of Ryzen work together with the aftermarket one?
