i have 2x2 gb of 800mhz ram, but im going to upgrade my procesor from intel c2q q6600 to q9550, and i also want to upgrade my ram, what should i choose?

I know i saw somewhere that i can put ddr3 ram in my ddr2 slot, i think it was LTT, and somewhere it says that this mobo supports up to 8gb of ddr3 1066 mhz ram, im just checking here now if thats possible. Also thanks dude.
