Unless it was 2133 or 2400, higher speed practically requires you to enable XMP or DOCP to get the rated speed. Unless you get some HyperX Fury where the SPD has the same timings as the XMP for those stubborn OEM PC like Dell.
And from the merged question you do have HyperX Fury, so it wont matter using SPD or XMP as they are programmed the same. I bought a kit for my Dell Inspiron 5675 Ryzen 1700X as that system will not use XMP and has to rely on programmed SPD timing. Some people were mad their 3000 kit of other brands would only run at 2666 in the Ryzen Dells.
