So I recently decided to upgrade to more ram on my PC I currently had 8GB 2x4GB HyperX Fury 2400Mhz and decided to get another 8GB 2x4GB HyperX Fury 2400Mhz. I installed everything but when I booted up my PC windows 10 went into a loop of trying to fix and resolve itself. But once I remove the old ram it boots fine and I have access to windows 10 and all my files. I even checked my bios and all my ram was accounted for and working but I cant figure out how to get all 16GB to work. My current motherboard is a GIGABYTE GA-Z170X-UD5 (rev. 1.0) LGA 1151 Intel Z170 HDMI SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.1 USB 3.0 ATX Intel Motherboard. I hope this is enough information to help find a fix.

Hi Satonic :)

Mixing RAM even with the same specs is not a good idea. There can be slight variations in Latency during manufacture and they warn you of this. Best is to get a single kit that have been factory binned and known to work together.
Some are lucky but most encounter issues.

My advice is to try and return the kit you bought. Swap them for a (2x8) kit and keep the ones you have as spares.

Yup! mix and matching ram sticks is not a good idea.
You are basically testing your luck.
It will sometimes work and sometime not.
I did that quite often and the probability is not bad. I saw about 2 out of 3 cases should work.
IF you want to have 100% probability that things will work, get the exact same kit/sticks...or buy in bundles (pairs).
