RAM Speed issues

Hi, probably a newbie question but I am new to the PC building world. I built a system with the Ryzen 5 2600, Gigabyte B450-ds3h mobo and corsair vengeance 3000mhz RAM 2×8 gig sticks. My ram is running at around 2100mhz, and I do not know why it is not running at advertised speeds. Amy suggestions?

Download HWinfo. Install it. Run it and choose the "Sensors only" option when it starts up. Do not check the "Summary option" box.

Scroll the window down in HWinfo until you find the memory sensor data. Take a screenshot and post it here if you wish. Or, if it indicates 1500mhz, which at the double data rate equals 3000mhz, then it is running at it's XMP setting.

You can also usually just save the setting, exit the bios, then go back into the bios and see what speed the bios says the memory is running at.

You can also download and install CPU-Z and look on the memory and SPD tabs.

Sorry for replying so late. The XMP my RAM has I do not think is supported by my motherboard, so I overclocked it manually using AMD Ryzen Master. Here are the speeds before I overclocked it. http://i63.tinypic.com/30biruw.png

Since I am using dual channel I think I double that speed to get what I am running for both sticks which means I am running at 2,860mhz. Please let me know if there is anything I need to do still, or if you see any mistakes. Thank you so much for your help.

So long as it is stable, then yes, those are running at 2866mhz. You might want to simply ditch Ryzen master and use the Ryzen calculator (Google it) and then use what you come up with to manually configure those settings in the bios. Ryzen master is fine for monitoring but any CPU or memory configurations should always be done in the bios if you want it done right.
