the sata cable has alot of connectors on it ... are these used for only HDDS or SSDs your going to use in raid? im a bit confused as to why they include one cable with alot of connectors on it instead of just separate cables.

Solution

No, NOT for a RAID config only. Just multiple drives.
But drives consume such little power, why not have them all on one cable? Usually, drives aren't quite as spread out as yours.

Typical PSU's generally have more than one SATA power chain.

Or maybe you should look into a modular PSU.

This is the SATA power cables coming off your PSU?
People use multiple drives.
Why have 4 individual cables, when they can daisy chain the power on one.

If you're talking about the SATA data cables...there is no "multiple connectors.
One drive, one cable, one port.

i mean the sata power cables coming from the psu.... are they ment only for diasy chaining storage drives for raid specifically? idk for some reason it seems more of a hassle SSD and HDD drives are all in seprate areas in my case a multi connector cable wouldnt work.
