Hi, I just upgraded my PC to a new motherboard, cpu and Ram. My understanding is for Windows 10, you don't need to do a fresh install, you just plug everything back in and it should be fine. But in my case I'm not able to get past the bios and I'm not able to change the boot order. I have 2 SSDs and hard drive connected to the motherboard and I do see them in the bios. I tried a recovery USB that I created but it can't locate or fix anything. What's my options? I don't mind doing a fresh install but how can I create a bootable usb drive. My specs: Asus Maximus Hero XI , i9-9900k And 16 Gifs DDR4 Gskill Ram.

you NEED to do a fresh install if you changed the Motherboard, CPU, and ram.

IF you only upgraded your RAM or the CPU you would be fine.

OH to create a new USB drive for windows just go to https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/software-download/windows10 and click the Create windows 10 installation media.. it will download and you can then choose to make an install USB drive or something to that effect once you have it download. though of course you need a different computer (one that is working) to do that.

I think you also (I was forced to) when you change the motherboard your windows key will not work any more.. so you may have to purchase it again.. but you can deal with that after you install windows.
