Hello gents, Quick issue.
(DDR3)
Been running two sticks of 8 to get 16Gb at 1866Mhz in dual channel. Finally found the other half of the pack o ram (set of 4 sticks) and installed the other half. Now it's 32 GB only running at 1333Mhz. Trying to clock it back up via the Bios gives me a boot error and I have to bring it back down.

The RAM was sold together and is designed to run Quad, however my MOBO is only dual channel.

Anyway to achieve the higher clock? If not, better to just run the 16 at a 1866Mhz and save the two extra stick for backup?

Adding a CPUID Link below. Thanks!

I vaguely remember this happening to me in the past, the speed dropped with four sticks. I don't know a solution but I do know 16GB is plenty of RAM for gaming and general computing. I would go with 2 sticks at 1866.

Basically I had a pack of 32GB and was running Windows 7. Fast forward to Windows 10 and I hadn't been able to find the last two sticks to add for a few weeks. Added them today and my speed got gimped from 1866 to 1333
