OK so this is really random but I live in a building with bunch of other Wi-Fi connections and there was a Rogers Internet wifi that was locked and another one just like it (same name but with 3G after) that was unlocked and when I clicked on the one that was unlocked it said to set up a password and get connected so of course I did it lol I have Internet now it's not my Internet obviously but it lets me use it. Is it safe I just don't understand how I set up an Internet that's not mine with a password ?!

no, its definitely not safe. it's probably someones hotspot or router that they are hard wired to. they probably didnt need wifi, didnt disable it and didnt configure it. not smart on their end and your stuff is on their network so they can have access to it.

No it is not "safe".
You're probably using someone elses guest WiFi.

Are you already a paying Rogers customer? Some ISP's have a function where if you are already a paying customer, you can access other hotspots.

"3G". What did you connect to this with...your phone?

At the very least, every link you go to.
Or, they could do something highly illegal, and blame it on you.

Okay there corwin I was asking a question the reason why I asked is cause someone in the building told me it was okay to use but they didn't say if it was there's so that's why I asked here, no need for the negativity. I understand I should get my own internet but it's going to take them a week before they hook it up so I was just going to use it temporarily

"someone in the building told me..."
Unless that persons name is on the actual bill, what they say is of no consequence.

Might that be part of your rental agreement? Ask whomever you pay rent to, or the bldg super.
