Hi guys, it has been 4 years since i've used a forum for my pc problems, usually I was able to fix everything myself.
This time I really need your help.

Problem Description Short
- Laptop MSI GS63VR stealth 6RF
- Not detecting dedicated GPU (GTX1060), well it kinda does in device manager
- Not detecting external monitors when I boot with these monitors plugged in.
- When I plug them in after reboot, they SOMETIMES work, but only 1 at a time.
- 9/10 times only external 1 monitor works, if I plug out the other one and if I reboot the system.
I should add that I am able to game for about 5 minutes with 1 monitor plugged in, and it does use my GTX1060... after those 5 minutes, my external screen will go black and my laptop will crash.

Problem Description Extended
I have a MSI GS63VR 6RF laptop (i7 6700HQ, GTX1060, 16GB RAM), I have this thing connected to my entire setup (1x 1080p screen via DP, 1x 1440p screen via HDMI 1.4, keyboard, mouse, headphones etc.)

Yesterday my laptop decided to give up on my external monitors, this happened whilst I was gaming, they both went completely black. to be clear, my laptop screen still works perfect! (but this is ofcourse due to intel hd graphics)

So I rebooted the PC, but this time it wouldnt give any output to the external monitors, I unhooked the HDMI cable for my 1440p screen, and rebooted, now my laptop did detect my 1080p monitor and it worked fine, but as soon as I launched a game, game crashed (tried multiple games, all same outcome)

I decided to update the drivers, did another reboot, but the only thing that turned on was my laptop screen.

When I unhook the Displayport cable, HDMI cable and reboot, it will always detect my 1060, say that drivers are properly installed,
then I hook up my Displayport cable, and my 1080p Monitor just comes on!!!, when I hook up the HDMI cable for the 1440p screen everything goes black again.

When only the DP cable is attached, I thought it was working OK, but it didnt, all my games still crash.

After this I did a full reset on my PC, cleaning entire C:// and reinstalled windows & installed drivers.
Windows Device Manager did detect my GTX1060 properly, even before I installed nvidia drivers, but I couldnt hook up any monitor to it, as it didnt give any output.

What I tried
- Cleaning laptop since I thought it was overheating at first, but thermals are peaking at 85C, which is normal
- Tried different cables on both monitors
- Hooking up a different PC, to check the monitors (monitors are OK)
- deleting Nvidia Drivers & Reinstalling them, tried 3 versions
- Resetting the entire laptop to factory default, reinstalled nvidia drivers, still not working as it should.

Weirdest problem I've ever seen, I am thinking its either the drivers or a physical Hardware problem.

Tell me what you think of it! I ran out of options!

Thanks in advance,,

Have you cross referenced the BIOS version on your laptop with that found off of MSI's product support page? If you have BIOS updates pending, go through them incrementally.

After that, see if using older drivers brings back functionality of your GPU.
