PC takes extra time to connect to internet (Through ethernet)

I'm currently running my PC through an ethernet connection to my router, but I've noticed that on startup it takes extra time to connect to the internet. I'm running win 10 on a SanDisk SSD PLUS 480 GB so it loads up nice and quickly, however I have to sit and wait for a short while to be able to use any program on the internet.
(I've reinstalled my networking mobo drivers too)

Any ideas?

Make and model of your router? Is it on the latest firmware update? Does the issue present itself if you were on wireless connectivity?

Yes still happens if I use wireless on my PC. Heres the message that I get when trying to load a website on chrome while it happening too.

if it not a old bios on the mb issue. it may be the anti virus your using. i notice bitdefender takes a few min to load at start up. this causes no network intill the anti virus sheilds are on.

Interesting, I've used and currently using Avast for years. Not sure if that's causing the problem

try using msconfig/windows start up turn everything off see if the ethernet speed changes.

Fixed by updating windows as much as possible.
