"class not registered" hoow do i add Word to default programs list?

i did a clone of a hard drive, and now the ability to 'save' or 'save as' word files or pdfs is now gone, and replaced with a window that informs "class is not registered".

i went to default programs and WORD is not there. how do i add it, or fix the registry?

A successful clone can't result in that.
A clone is a 1 for 1 copy from one drive to another. Everything should be exactly the same, just on a different drive.

What did you use to clone this?
What OS?
Is this the C drive?

hello! that's what i thought

. i used a sabrent docking station. i used the docking station only. it's nice that a PC isn't needed for a clone, but if it doesn't do it well...

windows 8.1 and yes, this the c: boot drive i'm cloning.

Either you did something wrong, or the Sabrent messed up in the process.

A successful clone cannot do that.

the HD was beginning to fail, so, i remember the phrase in class, "GIGO", garbage in, garbage out comes to mind.
