[SOLVED] is it safe to set ignore cpu core voltage under the monitor tab in asus bios

everytime when i first power up i always get this error https://imgur.com/a/l2GwHLA. i tried changing psu still the same issue.i also tried to load optimized defaults in the bios still the same issue. i dont want to rma the motherboard. when i set ignore cpu core voltage it can boot normally https://imgur.com/a/hyfSEDv . will i damage the cpu if i do that(ignore the core voltage) ?
psu used - EVGA 700 watt 80 plus bronze

I think that core voltage would be considered very high.....if it was real....and I also think it probably could damage the CPU.

.....but being that it isn't damaged.....I'm suspecting that perhaps the sensor is faulty or being read wrong.

Perhaps you could try another temperature reading app like HWMonitor or HWInfo and see what that tells you the core voltage is.

Maybe the BIOS is just reading it wrong.

....or maybe its a bad sensor in which case everything would read it wrong.

how much volts to set for no overclocking?

after 10min cpu vcore drop to 1.428v https://imgur.com/a/33HqquL so i dont think its a bad sensor

its the 0.033 V readings on those internal regulators that seem to point to the motherboard. If your voltage readings on the atx connector and 12V MB aux power are ok measured with a digital multi meter, then I would replace the board.

edit:

The only other problem that could cause this: if you didn't install all the motherboard screws and one of the ground planes is not grounded.
