I just Built my PC and I'm a newbie but hoping you guys can help me out. My PC components are:
-i5 8400
-GTX 1060 6gb
-gigabyte H370 HD3 mobo
-ripjaw 12gb ram (one in each channel, 8gb and 4 GB stick)
-evga 500w 80 Bronze PSU
-Solo T1-R case
-500 GB Sata HDD
-intel stock fan

It will turn in occasionally after hours of playing with it. But usually it will spin the Cpu fan once, once, then spin really fast for 5 secs and then turn off. Other times the error light and front fan light will flick on and off and not turn on. Any help?

Even if HWMonitor is reporting/recording below average temperatures there are other considerations.

Take a "big picture" look at your build.

Here are some readings that will help you understand what may be happening:

https://centralvalleycomputerparts.com/articles/why-do-cpus-get-hot/

https://www.quora.com/Why-does-a-laptop-CPU-get-hot-even-when-the-CPU-usage-is-low

https://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/support/articles/000005791/processors/intel-core-processors.html

Your objective is to identify other possible symptoms and events to narrow down the cause(s) of the "turn-offs".

May be a combination of things....

No beeps?

Try with one memory stick in each slot.

Then try the other memory stick each slot.

The objective is to narrow down the possible reasons by elimination. Or find some additional information that may help identify the culprit. Or some error of omission or commission on my part.
