here is the support list. the 1xx series motherboards can support the 6th or the 7th generation intel CPU. the motherboard will support an i3-6100 through an i7-7700k
you may need to upgrade the PSU to support high wattage i7's
be sure the BIOS version matches the chosen CPU BEFORE installing the chosen CPU

you Should have to go with i5 7400 or i5 6400 (any which sit cheap) though i5 is quad core and it will Supports better GPUs and Give almost double performance in games... than your current g4560.. and you dont need to update bios of your board... because u are using a 7th gen chip(yes g4560 is 7th gen) and you can both install 6th gen or 7th gen i5 on your asus board

Yes it is good card. But if you need good fps later you have to buy new card. Like Rx560 or rx 580 4gb. They both works on i5 without any trouble. BTW I have GT 1030 to. But using i3 6098p
