  1. No, you can't put an Intel CPU in an AMD motherboard, or vice versa.

Your CPU is not as fast as other, newer CPUs; however, your GPU is also rather low-end for modern gaming. I wouldn't be surprised if you could gain more performance from a better GPU.

    What games are you playing?
  2. Black ops 4, Pubg, Battlefield 1.

So I if I were to purchase a better CPU I would need to get an intel motherboard?
  3. So what would u recommend I upgrade first I have a budget of 500$
Or could I just get an amd CPU?
  4. Your FX-8300 should be enough for your GTX 1050.

You should install MSI Afterburner and use the on-screen display to show CPU and GPU usage. If your GPU usage is maxed out at 99-100% while gaming, then you could benefit from a better GPU.

If you want a better CPU, you should get a new motherboard and CPU.

I recommend both a better CPU and GPU.
