Hi, i want to "upgrade" my pc from a pentium g4560 to a ryzen 5 platform, i want to know all the things that i need to do in order to make it work. My main question would be if I need to reinstall windows or i can just plug in my Hard Drive and its done?

Solution
I highly recommend getting an SSD and making it your OS drive. So what I would do, is when you get your new motherboard and you're ready to install windows. Just leave the old hard drive with the OS unplugged so you don't confuse the motherboard with boot devices. Install the OS on your SSD, then when you're up and running, plug the hard drive in and delete what you don't need. Just make sure you keep the proper boot drive in BIOS.
Whenever you change motherboards you should do a fresh install of windows. Not a repair, a fresh install. It's possible to keep the same OS install but in my experience switching motherboards leaves a whole bunch of cobwebs and makes for a buggy system. A fresh install will be your best bet.

Depends on what you mean by "all my data".
Your personal files are OK.
Any applications WILL need to be reinstalled.

After the OS is installed on the HDD, the best way forward is to locate all your personal data files, copy them to a different drive, and wipe that old HDD clean.
Then, copy stuff back to that drive.

This is good advice and basically what I did to retain all my personal files not long ago going from a FX 8370 build to the Ryzen 7 2700X. I would also add that building the actual computer is easy, however before you start to tear apart your current build make sure that you go online and download the latest bios for your motherboard and save it to a flash drive. Once your ready to start your computer for the fist time flash the latest bios for your motherboard first (using whatever method is correct for your motherboard), then when you restart mash the del key to enter bios. Once in bios make sure you set your RAM speed and timings to your RAM kits specifications as Ryzen won't do that automatically and will leave the RAM set slow with very loose timings. While the computer will run like this its not going to have good performance till those timings are set. Then when you save and restart you can start the process of doing a clean install of windows to you new SSD.
