Hi everyone,

I am having an issue with my wifes PC. To start off here are the specs.
Intel i5-7600k
ROG Strix z270e
GSKILL trident ddr4
evga 960ssc
Corsair h80i v2

If anymore info is needed I will provide it. Now to the point. The other night the wife and I were gaming and she complained of "lagging". When I restarted her PC it wouldnt restart due to CPU temp being to high. Since then I have tried everything from driver updates to reapplying thermal paste. The corsair h80i micro usb that connects to the mobo refuses to work. Windows does not recognize it. I have tried multiple usb ports with another micro usb cable with no luck. Ive done tons of research on the corsair h80i trying to get this usb to work so i can see what the pump is actually doing. I have had no luck. A friend of mine told me to post here and use HWINFO. I honestly have never heard of this. Id say im an amatuer PC builder and user. I have downloaded HWINFO and saved an entire report. I tried to somehow save the "sensor" log but I dont think I did. Pretty much the PC on energy save mode in asus AI SUITE the cpu idles at about 50c. I did a graphic card update so I could show that whatever i do the temps bump up to 90c. Im living in Japan currently and other then ordering; buying a new cooler isnt exactly the easiest thing. Im not sure how to upload the HWINFO but whatever anyone needs I will try and upload. Im really stumped and being so far away from the states this is all my wife and I have to stay connected with friends and family while having fun.

Solution
they easy way on hardware info is use print screen then dropping it into paint and saving it as a jpg and then posting it on photo sharing service. the pc sitting with no load with a water cooler should be around 35c. if it at 50c the cooler pump have have failed. if it running you should be able to feel it. cosair should be able to do a advance replacement with you. they may take a credit card to use as a deposit. they can send you a replacment when you get it if you dont think you can swap it out a local shop should be able to for a small larbor charge.
