Got a new ssd, installing it on my z270 pc mate motherboard, I noticed theres like 5 different sata ports, does it matter which one I plug into?
Does the SATA port I pick matter when installing a new SSD?

No. Thats usually with boards that have different colors of sata ports, for instance my old motherboard has 2 black and 2 grey ports, 2 black are sata 3 , 2 grey are sata 2.
