1080 TI or RTX 2080

So since 1080 TI’s are going out of stock everywhere, is it best to get the RTX 2080? They perform similarly. I heard that 1080 TI’s are going out of stock and focusing on the new generation of cards and may well be out of stock forever. So I’m just conflicted on whether to wait and see if it’ll come back in stock or just get the 2080 ?

Get the 2080 if you have the budget, and yes the 1080Tis will be running out of stock sooner or later.
It still doesnt make sense for paying more for a 2080 (while it replaces 1080Ti) as ray tracing isnt a big thing just yet.
The picture will get more clear next year, when more games are having optimization of ray tracing.
