I have a i5 7600k @ 3.5 I think on a asus pro gaming z 170 motherboard I changed to 3.5 to 4.5 sync on all 4 cores now when I start my PC it takes me to a screen and I have to press F1 go to bios then click boot then click the ssd then it boots fine everything work fine if PC sleeps its fine as long as I dont turn off my power switch this only happens when my PC is shut down and on back I switch its power off ant ideas???

Solution
Your overclock is not stable and the bios is resetting. When you click on the boot override for your SSD, you are likely eliminating all the bios settings for your overclock and booting with the default configuration. You likely need to make the overclock more stable by increasing the core voltage, among other things.

What CPU cooler are you using?

What is your core voltage set to?

Why do you have the core behavior set to sync rather than per core? Per core allows cores to relax and cool down when they are not needed. This allows the ENTIRE package to remain cooler than with all cores running full bore anytime one core is.

I would get into Windows, download and install HWinfo, and check that your cores are ACTUALLY running at the...

I would get into Windows, download and install HWinfo, and check that your cores are ACTUALLY running at the speed of the overclock you configured by putting them under a full load using Prime95 version 26.6 on the Small FFT option, or Realbench. I'd bet that you are not actually running at that speed when you bypass after the BIOS resets and fails to POST.

Also after I boot in i opened CPU z and it says im @ 4.5 but ill try what u said for the overclock all I did WA change the value from 3.8 to 4.5 didn't do anything else except I applied the 4.5 to all cores

Ok, well you're going to need to increase the voltage for the CPU to be stable. Read and follow the procedures outlined in the tutorial I linked to. There are also a lot of good overclocking tutorials out there that apply directly to the 7600k and you should probably read them. It is not a good idea, ever, to try overclocking without knowing exactly what it is you are doing and how to go about not only doing it, but testing it to be sure it is stable. Severe system wide corruption can occur with an unstable CPU or memory configuration EVEN IF it seems like it's ok because it does not blue screen or freeze up. Micro errors will destroy your file system over time if the CPU or memory are not fully stable.
