Well hopefully someone here can give me more of a direction to work towards since my network provider cannot help really, seems to say everything looks good but it is not for the past 3 months i have none stop high ping issues in the games i play.

Cs go league of legends diablo 3 ring of Elysium. My ping used to always be around 15-30max with a few hiccups which was fine now all of sudden for the past 3 months my ping will be anywhere from 50-300-800 its crazy and it comes and goes every match or game i try and play on now my speed is 200mbps down and 5mbps up.

Buckeye has multiple issues out side and fixed them all with new wire from the box to our house now what is odd is i get almost my max download of 17-24mbps download and upload is normal as well its only if i try to play any game or even in discord i sound like a robot

my friends say buckeye has looked and looked keep telling me everything is fine in which it is not because i have never had this issue until recently. also they installed a ground wire on the line coming in saying it was coming in to hot whatever that means. also a new modem as well which is the dg2470 arris.

seems to me there not sending anyone with any network certs or someone who actually cares enough to listen to me they keep telling me to restart and reset my modem which does 0 difference what so ever!

the websites speed test.net and there main one on there page shows the correct download speed and upload speed low jitter and low ping of 25ms. to me there has to be some type of transmitting difference between downloading and playing on a server.

hopefully someone can answer this or point me in the right direction would help alot. also even if my ping shows 40ms voice is awful still as well CPU usage never gets over 60-70%

system specs are

intel core i5 7400
8gb ddr4
rx 580

Hmmmm Sounds interesting, is there any dialogue within your routers settings, where you can see error statistics for the modem on the line?

Voice and games, or any kind of real time traffic tends to be UDP, as opposed to TCP, TCp can cope with a certain amount of errors on the line by retransmitting, but UDP my its nature will just do the best it can, if you are getting drops and garbled comms on voice despite a low latency it may be indication that packets are being lost in transmission, some games may also calculate your "ping time" artificially based on when they last successfully received messages from you.

from command prompt run a traceroute to a random website like google, then run extended ping commands to test to your router, and the next ip after the router, which will be your local exchange.

tracert www.google.com

ping -l 1000 -n 100 -f 1.1.1.1 <<replace 1.1.1.1 with the ip you want to test.

if you see regular drops to your home router your wifi is an issue, try changing wireless channel,
if you see regular drops pinging the local exchange but not your router there is a problem with your line.

I'm at work at the minute but I have sent them multiple pictures of ping plotter from what I can see the first hop is my modem there is 46% packet loss after 5 minutes of running it and from there everything is downhill and it's intermittent to the ping will show fine then skyrocket from hop 1 all the way down to 12 or so and they keep telling me that a packet loss could mean it was ignored and everything looks fine now for some odd reason hope 4 is blank and skipped but shows 100% loss. With no ip or a name. I talked to them last night again and they seemed upset that I keep contacting them from the why the conversation went. The pings will go from 25 and on up it's not a steady low ping but will jump and hold to like 200 or 300 and so on. So there gonna have the 5th tech this Thursday between 5 and 7 come out with tier 2 tech support on the line with the line guy. So I'm hoping they figure it out because they must not understand what intermittent means. When. I get home tonight I'll post some pictures by the way should I cover anything on the pictures to keep out hackers? I'm not the best at knowing much about network ids
