well comparing apples with apples, your buddies computer is worth about 1100$ on the current market so the asked price he's offering isn't bad at all. is that system worth it… well let see. (I dont like to purchase other used people computers, especially ones that people are likely yo have overclocked.)

Is the price right … Yes
Worth upgrading from 4790K to 8700K? Yes .
Would I ask why he's selling it.. Definitely.

If he's selling you that pc for $700 (I can't do that symbol) and all you would need to do is move the 1080ti from your pc to that new one, then yes I would do it and then sell your old PC to make up some of the cost.

He purchased his PC brand new from a UK retailer - Chill Blast. It has a 5 year warranty and a 2 year collect and return warranty through Chillblast. He purchased it January 2018 and is selling it to fund car repairs.
