I'm going to build a pc and mostly going to use for gaming. I have a intel core i5 8400 and gtx 1060 6gb. 16gb ram 2600mhz. My friends told me to get Z370 motherboard but I think it's useless for my set up because I'm not going to overclock anything nor SLI. I don't know which brand of motherboard is the best : ASRock, GIGABYTE, MSI and EVGA.

Solution
Coffee Lake CPUs require a Z370 chipset, so on that you have no choice. Personally I prefer and have had very satisfactory results from ASUS MBs for many years. I went with the Prime Z370-A because it has the s1220a onboard sound chip that supports DTS. I got mine for $140 on a holiday sale, currently it's $160.

If you're not as concerned about DTS, there's the Prime Z370-P for $113, or the TUF Z370 Plus for $120.

AsRock has the Z370 Pro4 for $100 after $10 MIR and $4 shipping ($104 after rebate), though personally I think the Prime Z370-P for $113 is a better deal.
