Windows OS Required When Building System?

I’m building my first computer right now, everything else has been prebuilt. It is a gaming computer. I was wondering if I needed to buy a windows OS or if a build comes with it? If you’re curious, the build I’m making is a $750 gaming desktop I saw on YouTube by a guy named Joey Delgado.

You will need to install Windows. Your build will not come with it pre-installed. You can run Windows 10, without activation, free of cost. Just download the Media Creation Tool from Microsoft to create the install USB. When you're ready to purchase Windows, you can activate it then.

It doesn't come with any of your parts, you have to do that yourself.
You can install it, and leave it Unactivated. $0.
A few small restrictions, but nothing that affects major functionality.

Later, you can purchase a valid OS license and activate it. Approx $95 USD.

Do note that the cheaper "OEM" Windows license is forever bound to the motherboard you first install it on. If you ever upgrade hardware to a new motherboard, you'd need to buy a new copy of Windows. But if you don't think you'll ever upgrade the hardware (or are willing to buy a new copy of Windows if you upgrade - e.g. you give this computer to someone else to use), the OEM version is fine.

The more expensive "Retail" Windows license is transferable to new hardware.
