Over the last two days my family has been experiencing painfully slow speeds. We had a tech come out today, he replaced some splitters and did some tests and the signal was still bad according to him. He suggested that it may be due to the fires in SoCal burning the world but I think it's unlikely. The tech said we can call him out to replace the wire from the pole to the house. Is there anything else that we can possibly do to get this fixed or is this our best choice? All help is appreciated . Thank you.

Other info:
☺ Modem: Arris SB6183 , Router: Netgear R6400
☺ When tech was in the attic he removed 2 devices that we don't use anymore.
☺ I've checked as many splitter connections as I possibly can and everything was connected properly and tightly.
☺ I've restarted our modem/router multiple times with no luck.

If this was posted under the wrong forum section, please let me know where to move it.

You will always see some of those messages in the log but you are getting many more than you should.

All it really means is there is a communication issue it does not tell you much of the source.

I have never seen a modem with those "unknown" entries. Although it could be something the ISP has setup most times this indicates the modem has a hardware problem.

The numbers on the channels you have look ok, some are a bit low but still within the recommended values. You should also see a area that shows your upload channels and numbers. These tend to be the cause of this message more often than the download numbers. If you see transmit powers over 50db it generally is a cable problem

I do appreciate the response, thank you very much. My uploads are at 44db~47db. Are those still considered on the high side? What do you think would be the best way for us to go about figuring out the source of the issue? should you have any insight on how to pinpoint it.

Also, on a side note, just by looking at the logs (which is all I can really do), this errors are happening very frequently , all day, throughout the entire day, but only happen once or twice after midnight.
