Hey everybody,

I'm looking to upgrade my memory and I'm not sure what memory would be best or even is compatible with my rig. As the title says im running a z170-hd3p with an i7-6700K and GTX970 4G.

Currently I'm using 8 gigs of ram. I have been looking around an reading a little about RAM timings, MHz and various oder things. But I'm still not sure what memory would be "best".

I'm mainly using my PC for gaming and some easy office work. I have looked into the compatibility list of Gigabyte for that motherboard - but a lot of "new" sticks are not in that, and most of the 2666-3200 MHz sticks in that list are 4x4 or 4x8 sticks. I'm looking for 2x8 memory modules.

Since the prices dont differ much between 2400 and 3200 I'd probably choose 3200 (unless you may say that is unnecessary - I don't have a lot of knowledge about RAM - lol).

My candidate of choice would be: G.Skill (Ripjaws V) DIMM 16GB DDR4-3200. CL16-18-18-38

That one is not on the list though and on g.Skill.com its not in their QVL. So keep the fingers away, or should my rig be possible to run them?

Every help and comment is much appreciated! Thank you and sorry if some of it is not clear enough - english is not my fist tongue.
