Hi everyone,

I need some help and advice with regards to opening a PC gaming business in our place. We are planning to put up a 40units in our shop. 30 units for regular customers and 10 units for VIP customers.
Anyone here who can advice me for a better PC build that would last for atleast 3 to 5 yrs and will still run
new games that require high specs units for normal customers and to VIP.

Thank you so much.

Solution

Assuming US prices, figure $1500-$2000 for each system. This includes the OS, monitor, peripherals.
Add another $300-$400 for the "VIP" systems. More RAM and better GPU.

So, $45k for the regular, $20k for the VIPs. Add in a couple of spares...
$75k to start, just for the customer seats.

(edit add)
And then you start piling on software...

You're talking about spec'ing out systems - not a business plan.

Assuming the business is viable, your business plan should give you projections on income etc - which will likely scale depending on the hardware you propose to use.

What are you proposing offering to the 'VIP' customers vs regular?

Your best plan would be something fit for purpose now, with a solid foundation (x40), with an eye to upgrade the GPU in say 2 years.

For example, your regular customers could have a 1050TI or 1060 today. The VIPs maybe get a 1080/2070 or something.

In a year two, the 'regular' customs could be upgraded to a 2070 (or equivalent) and the VIPs to whatever the newest mid-high end card is at the time.

Budget wise still cannot figure it out because we are having difficulty on which build we need to use atleast to maximize and earn profit.need your expert advices. Just even for an estimated build to allow users to enjoy a fast and efficient PC for gamings and will last for atleast 3 to 5 yrs. Thank you.

You're thinking like a PC gamer. Not a business person.

Your budget and business plan dictates the hardware. Not the other way around.

You also need to fit in a couple of spare systems (breakdowns happen), a couple of servers to control all this, etc, etc.

And then you start piling on software licenses.
$50 per game, per seat.
A selection of 10 games will set you back another $20k.

So, figure $100k before any businessy type stuff is involved.
