Best monitor for gtx 1060

Solution

Live near a Microcenter? If so they actually have the newer LG 34"/2560x1080P/75hz/IPS/HDR 10 monitor on sale from $399 to $299 although I'm a bit hesitant about text at that size of a monitor (asked a question about it in the forum). Even the 29" version is really nice (used to own the older version without HDR) for gaming, gives good immersion and is on sale for $199.

Well if the size is the same then it won't look any better but it will be smoother as long as your system is pushing FPS above the 60hz mark on that 144hz.

It really depends on the types of games you play, for FPS and racing games the 144hz will be an improvement but if your playing less competitive games I'd look at a IPS/75hz monitor, or if your games support 21:9 I'd look at a 2560x1080P/75hz/IPS.

I'll be getting either the 29" or 34" later so I will update when I get everything together and I'll let you know how it games as I have a RX 580 which performs similar to your 1060 6gb. Been playing Destiny 2 since it Blizzard is giving it away for free (DLC not included).
