I have a GTX 1060 6gb GPU and an i5 7600k Processor. I have no problem with either for the year or so that ive built my pc. Recently my 1080p monitor does not recognize the GPU when plugged in through HDMI. However, the monitor recognizes the processor just fine. I have tried updating drivers, trouble shooting, replacing the cable, removing and checking the GPU and Ram, along with wires, I also factory reset the computer, yet still have no luck.

How does a monitor recognize a CPU? That would be a definite FIRST.

Does the monitor work when using OTHER inputs, such as DVI or DP?

Was it working using HDMI previously, and then just stopped working? Have you tried a different HDMI cable? That is often a problem, with cables failing due to being rolled over by chairs or getting bent too many times. Sometimes the pins can get bent on the cable as well so I'd check that if you've unplugged and plugged it back in prior to this problem happening.

Have you tried, or can you try, using a different monitor even if it means borrowing one to test with?
