In doubt about updating my current build

Wanted to update my build in the end of this year, but I have no idea to what should I update first. Any opinions?
Build:


  • ■CPU: Intel Core i5 6400 2.70 GHz
    ■RAM: 8gb DDR3L 2133Mhz Fury Black HyperX
    ■GPU: GeForce GTX 1060 3gb
    ■Storage: Western Digital 1TB HDD Sata3
    ■Power: Corsair CX650 80+ Bronze

I'd probably upgrade in this order, SSD (240gb+ for a OS & some games) > CPU (6700/7700 used) > GPU (if needed) > Memory (16gb 2x8gb).

This also depends on your gaming performance, is there any game your system is struggling with?

Not really particular ones. The loading times in some games are not that good (which I think could be fixed by the SSD you mentioned), and I experience some game stuttering now and then. Other than that, I'm just looking to improve overall quality. Also, if I were to upgrade my CPU to a 6700 or 7700, would I need a new motheboard + ram combo?

I normally get around 60-70 fps in most games I play @75hz 1080p, so I'm not really in desperate need of an upgrade, just thought I might do something since it's been a long time since my last upgrade
