Budget built gaming rig..Needing advice.

So I had a dell optiplex given to me that I'm turning into a budget gaming rig for my wife. Current specs are:

*Evga 500b 80+
*i7 2600
*8gb ddr3 ballistix sport
*Pny 1050ti
*Windows 10
It currently has a crappy ethernet cable hooked up to it right now that really only works when it wants to. My question is is can I add a wifi card to the Dell mobo or am I stuck with a crappy ethernet connection. All help is appreciated.

  1. You can add a wifi card, but it is probably much easier to add a USB wifi or ethernet NIC.
  2. Well it should have PCIe slot that you can add a card and/or you can get a usb wifi adapter as well however you have you just tried to replace the cable that probably the issue.

I thought about replacing the cable. But I have no idea what I'd replace it with. It came with the computer and I don't know anything about ethernet cables.
