Hello all,

My TV specs says that it supports : Dolby™ Digital, Dolby™ Digital Plus, Dolby™ Pulse .

So my question is, if I buy a sound system (5.1 or soundbar with subwoofer) that supports Dolby Atmos (as an example), is there a way to watch movies that support this sound technology, using my TV ,even though my TV doesn't support Dolby Atmos?

So I guess the bottom line of the question is, if I watch something via USB on TV and if TV is connected to soundbar or 5.1 system, will the audio get processed on TV or on sound system?

Thank you

Atmos/TrueHD and DTS:X/DTS-HD MA are lossless audio codecs and can only be transferred over HDMI cables. No TV that I am aware of has an HDMI out port. You would need to play the movies from a supported disc player, PC, or I THINK the Xbox One X has some support for Atmos. Last I checked, even Roku's lack support for such codecs.
