Cooler mounting kit

Hello,
This might be dumb question but i just want to be sure.

I have i5-3570k with Noctua NH-U12P SE2

Upgrading to i7-9700k but if i detach cooler from my old motherboard, will that mounting kit on that old motherboard fit to new z390 motherboard ?

I don't know when you bought the cooler, the lga1155 is not compatible with lga1150 or lga1151, you need the newer mounting kit. You can contact Noctua for it, check the linker for info, or google it for more info. Good luck.

I think it should be identical. Like as I have it on my old motherboard it should be same on new one, because it supports 1151, 1150 and 1155 right?
