my both rams are working fine single only , if i put both rams then pc power goes off at windows log in and turn on automatically
i tried 2 different rams from another pc , same story , pc power goes off at windows log in
i reset windows 10 , same story
i even put my ssd on another pc and my windows works fine on that pc
i tried XMP profile 1 and manual change to 1600Mhz , same issue
reset my bios and updated bios and no fix
im using 8gb ram at the moment and missing other one 8gb
i need 16gb ram

what is this issue ?
can anyone help me on this ?
thanks

"im using DDR slot 1 , slot 3 , other slots dont work"

Slots 2 and 4 physically do not work?

Your CPU-z image above shows a module in slot #4

And I also see Single Channel. What about dual?

Doublecheck the motherboard User Guide/Manual to verify that you are correctly installing and configuring the RAM modules.

E.g.,

http://www.tomshardware.com/answers/id-3691122/gigabyte-b250m-gaming-motherboard-ram-slots.html

LInk is not related to your motherboard per se - just a reference to reinforce the need to doublecheck the configurations you need.

yes even single mode , slot 2 and 4 dont work,
it stopped working long ago. because of this i i use my 2*8 ram on grey and black slots (slot 1 , 3) , both used as single channel
now both rams on single mode dont work, only one slot work at a time, sometimes slot 1, slot 3 work , then pc restarts at windows log in
before this issue i was using both rams as single channel on slot 1 and slot 3 without any issue
there was a power cut other day , and ups was dead and pc turned off then only this issue started

you can tell me whats wrong with my system ? where is the issue ? high change its motherboard issue?

hi i have an update for you

i change ram frequency to 800mhz and dual channel works ,
can you check if its correct configuration ?
is it perfect or it has be 1600mhz (800mhz each ram ) , currently dual channel mode 800mhz (400mhz each ram)
please check the below images and let me know
thanks

Just leave the configuration as is for a while. Work, game, etc., as you normally do.

If all (performance, stability, temps) is well consider it "perfect".

If you find the need for speed/higher performance then you can experiment with the settings and over-clocking.

Do some additional reading and plan your changes. Keep notes so you can undo any changes that do not work out.

i did valley benchmark

16gb(800mhz) dual channel

8gb(1600mhz) single channel

there is a big gap
what should i do ?
the issue is still there. any fix ? what is faulty ? MB , Cpu or Ram ?

With respect to "issue"....

You mean that single channel fps is greater than dual channel fps - is that the "big gap"?

I am not sure what is happening.

Does the following User Manual link match your motherboard?

http://download.gigabyte.us/FileList/Manual/mb_manual_ga-h97-gaming3_e.pdf

All I can think of, for the moment, is to doublecheck and verify that the RAM is both correctly and fully inserted into the applicable memory slots. See Pages 15 & 16.

As I understand the manual, Dual channel "for Optimum Performance" should use DDR3_1 and DDR3_2 sockets.

CPU-z shows 2 & 4.

no , im saying that dual channel 800mhz is slower than single channel 1600mhz
benchmark says it all
dual channel works only if i set it to 800mhz manually , otherwise only one ram(single channel) will work at 1600mhz

Agree. Same assessment, just the reference point.

Yes, I see that dual channel 16gb (800mhz) @ FPS 88.4 is benchmarking slower than single channel 8gb (1600mhz) @ 108.0 FPS.

I am wondering about the slots being used for dual channel. The memory modules seem to be placed in slots DDR_2 and DDR_4 per CPU-z.

The manual (if the manual I found is applicable to your motherboard) states use DDR_1 and DDR_2 for optimum performance. Note that the sockets are not in numerical order. I believe the sockets are the grey pair - see Manual page 7.
