Ram not running in Dual-Channel

Hey guys, i have 2 ram sticks of SAMSUNG M471B5173QH0-YK0 both IDENTICAL of 4gb, 1600, 1.35v, timings, etc. They are IDENTICAL. Running them on a laptop Toshiba Satellite C50D-B 120 , they are showing up as 8gb but in single channel. Checked cpu-z already. Why is that? is it because the laptop doesn't support dual-channel? or the 2 ram sticks don't support it? if they DO actually support it...how can i enable it? In BIOS there's no option for nothing to be honest... only few useless options, nothing regarding memory. I have the latest BIOS version, tryed to find an older one but Toshiba doesn't keep older versions... -_ -. Any help/info would be greatly apreciated.

Also, i'm running windows 7 ultimate SP1 x64.
Also in computer properties at installed memory from 8GB, only (6.94GB usable) is displayed.

Memory is guaranteed in the form sold. Other combinations you decide to make have no guarantee to be compatible together.

Identical, exact, same kind of memory are not guaranteed to be compatible together unless purchased in a single kit. Modules sold as singles are intended to be used as singles.

Had x1 when i bought the laptop, then i bought another identical one as an upgrade, didn't knew if it might or might not support dual-channel, i thought as long as it it identical...should work. :) That's what i'm trying to find out. Does it work in dual-channel? or not? if yes, HOW? If not, WHY? xD

Strange.
Yes, disparate sticks may not be supported, but since you show all 8gb, that is unlikely to be the cause.

Try running memtest86 and see what that says.

It is not the end of the world, operating in single channel mode.
You gained more from the added 4gb.

Is there possibly a motherboard bios update that might be relevant?

I'll do a memtest later on, regarding the bios update...that might be relevant, there should/might be one, but i don't know, as i said in first post, i tried to search for one on internet but with no luck, i saw some people talking about Toshiba not keeping old bios updates (idk why) so if you could find one for my laptop ...you have 2 beers from me.

Laptop Model (complete): Toshiba Satellite C50D-B-120 (PSCN4E-00X00QEN)
Serial No: 9E179746P

That's exactly why i actually posted this here...i thought there will be an improvement...even the tiniest one...but LOL it works like there's a single core cpu with only 2gb ram and the oldest possible hdd and video card.

All drivers are up to date, all updates for windows too, i even tried windows 10 64 bit , then came back (it was worse on win10 64), but its performance is TERRIBLE, i don't understand, i used this piece of ...ahem, laptop for 4 years, i searched the web for eeeeeeeeeeeeeverything possible, i'm 100% shure i did the BEST for him in terms of EVERYTHING, like DUST, drivers, updates, software, tweaks, performance boost, every possible thing, finnaly i thought maybe an upgrade will help , let's double the ram memory, how about that? But unfortunately now i see it's not running in dual-channel mode and it's STILL A PIECE OF ....ahen Laptop! -_ -
