[SOLVED] Does PWM Fan Hub Fan Order of Connections Matter?

Hello, I plan to get 3 Corsair LL120 rgb fans. However, I realized that I need a PWM fan hub or splitter so that I don’t use 3 fan headers on my motherboard. I am confused if the order in which you plug in the PWM fan connections to the hub matter or does that only apply to rgb connections. Also, would I be able to plug in the LL fans and the fans on the CoolerMaster ML240R to the same PWM Fan Hub?

Thanks

You can plug all your fans to the fan hub, but all of them do run in sync and you can control them via BIOS (or any software that controls that specific MoBo fan header where you plug the fan hub control wire).

But if you're talking about controlling fan RPM via Corsair Link, then for that you'll need Corsair Commander Pro.

With Lightning Node Pro setup, you can only control fan RGB via Corsair Link/iCUE,
But with Commander Pro setup, you can control fan RGB and RPM via Corsair Link/iCUE.

For a fan hub, it usually doesn't matter which fan is at which slot, unless explicitly specified. Those few are fan hubs that have dedicated slot for CPU cooler. Also, fan hub doesn't care about fan make and model. But your RGB hub does care about the fan order and fan models you plug into it.
