Hi everyone!

This is my computer at the moment:

CPU: Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-2600 CPU @ 3.40GHz
GPU: Gigabyte GeForce GTX 960 G1 Gaming (the one with 3 fans)
MotherBoard: Dell Inc. 0Y2MRG
Storage: 1 TB Seagate ST1000DM003-1ER162 & 232 GB Crucial CT250MX500SSD1
RAM: 16.0GB Dual-Channel DDR3
PSU: Don't remember which one it was but it 100% shouldn't be a problem

I want to be able to play games like, Black ops 4 (battle royale mode), PUBG, Rust and heavier games that might be released in the near future.

What should i do to make my pc better and be able run games in over 60 fps.

Solution

college life ain't easy :/

You may be right on your power supply, but it's best to be safe when you're spending a lot of money on upgrades that need a reliable power supply. You should really open up your case and find out exactly what you have.

When you do that, your budget allows for GTX 1060 6GB, RX 580 8GB, or the even better GTX 1070 and maybe even a 1070 Ti if you are correct and don't need a PSU. But that would be maxing out your budget and isn't really necessary for 1080p 60Hz.

What is your monitor resolution and refresh rate?

based on your price point and desired results, I'd recommend you to get these :

https://www.amazon.com/MSI-GeForce-GTX-1060-6GT/dp/B01LZYPEHK/ref=sr_1_17?s=pc&ie=UTF8&qid=1542259211&sr=1-17&keywords=1060+6GB&refinements=p_36%3A21000-99999999

https://www.amazon.com/Samsung-500GB-Internal-MZ-76E500B-AM/dp/B0781Z7Y3S/ref=sr_1_3?s=electronics&ie=UTF8&qid=1542259330&sr=1-3&keywords=500GB+ssd

That GPU will boost your FPS quite nicely and that 500GB SSD (I would only put your games on it) will help with loading times. You will see a really nice return for money invested since the GPU is $250 and the SSD is $80, that keeps you under the $400 price point and will really create a difference.

Should i really invest in a second SSD when i already have one?

You should buy a better PSU. What country are you buying from? If you are not in the US then you would have to find different parts for a better price.

I see someone offering a ASUS GeForce GTX 1060 6GB TURBO for 240$ and it is 100% never used and still has hasnt activated the serial code on nvidias website. Worth buying?

It will perform well yes. The only thing I and most other experienced users don't like is the fan-type; it's designated TURBO because of the blower-style (or turbo-style) fan. Those fans can get pretty loud compared to the other non-blower style fans. So basically, if noise isn't an issue then it would be a good card. Oh, they tend to run hotter also which is why they are loud because the fan has to spin faster to keep it cool. If you can find a different non-blower card that would be better.
