Does the Galaxy S4 mini have LDAC support?

Hey there,

I recently got the Sennheiser HD 4.50 BTNC and I am looking to return them and possibly opt for the Sony 1000mx3 so I can block out all noise and have better bass. I was wondering if my phone, Samsung Galaxy S4 mini has hardware related LDAC support for the Sony headset. I usually listen to flac files on my phone and if I can get LDAC to work on my phone, I will switch to the Sony headset. Otherwise the Bose QC35 II

My partner rooted my S4 mini and put Xenon HD on it with Magisk 17.1 on it along with nova settings and kernel auditor.

I am sure Nova and Kernel are bundled with magisk, but I don't know. Might as well point it out.

You can try a custom ROM and see if you have the option.
As I said on my older phone I haven't got the option even though it's running Android 9.

@ChumP there are multiple phones out that support LDAC. Pixel 2, Galaxy S9, etc.

Looks to be something that is largely dependent on software support, apparently as of Android 8.0 Oreo it's been included in the AOSP, so it seems like there ought to be some custom ROMs out there that support it.

Running Android 9.0 Pie(LineageOS 16.0) on my old S4-I9506 and the LDAC feature was removed, because it wasn't supported by the phone.
I'm pretty sure that it won't work on his too.
I think the feature also depends on the Bluetooth version the phone is running.
