Upgrading from GTX 770 to GTX 1060, worth it?

I currently have an i5-4690k with a EVGA GTX 770 Dual Superclock graphics card. With black friday coming up, I was wondering if it would be worth it to upgrade to a GTX 1060 for a better gaming experience. With present games requiring better graphics card, im afraid mine will not be able to keep up. As time goes on, games will have even better graphics and will begin to require better graphics cards. I've had it for 3 years along with the rest of my rig and it works without flaws to this day. I wanted to initially upgrade once my card fails but it seems that day is taking too long.

There is a double fan and single fan version of the 1060, is there a performance difference between the two?

I'm looking for any suggestions about what i should do or any recommendations if you believe that there are better cards that would be better for the circumstances.

Is my processor fine? Would an i5 still be able to withstand these high-demanding games in the next few years?

Thanks

I'd consider the 770 to be a 1050 Ti level card. For this reason I'd consider a move to a 6gb 1060 for 1080p to be well worth it.

The tricky part is your CPU, it's 4 cores/4 threads. Already we are seeing more and more games using more than 4 threads. This means that in some games you might not see enough of a benefit from this upgrade to justify the costs. This is entirely dependent on the games you play, so you might not be affected by this. As time passes though, more and more games will need more than 4 threads.

As far as single fan vs dual fan, assuming size is no concern then it won't matter much. in theory dual fan is more efficient thus quieter, single fans work harder to do the same cooling. The card isn't exactly a hot...
