I know this has been brought up before but none of the posts I’ve seen have a solution. If I game for a short while, maybe half an hour to an hour, the screen will go black. Some have said it could be due to the video cable (I’m using a dvi d so I can get 76hz) but that wouldn’t stop my pc from acting normal, the reset button doesn’t work so I have to hard reset by holding it down or power cycling the psu which I would prefer not to do ever.
I have the power limit set to max (+50), the pcie power management thing in the windows settings to off, I have made sure the power cables are secure, I’ve also done a fresh install of the latest drivers using DDU in safe mode.

I have been able to stop this from happening by capping my FPS with rivatuner to 80 but I would prefer to play Csgo and fortnite at higher than that for shorter timing.

My specs:
i5 4590 3.3ghz, turbos to 3.7ghz
Asrock b85m pro3 motherboard,
Hyperx 8gb ddr3 1600mhz,
ASUS strix rx 470 4gb,
Adata 128gb su800 ssd,
2tb WD blue 5400rpm HDD (in the process of buying a seagate 7200rpm),
Seasonic s12ii 520w bronze (newer model)

I’m using the latest public windows 10 home version

This is all in an NZXT s340 case with 4 fans, cpu and gpu both stay relatively cool, cpu doesn’t go over 50c while gaming, gpu doesn’t go over 65c (custom fan curve with msi ab)

Anyone else having these issues? Any old drivers that will help? What can I do to stop this??

Solution
If you are certain this is caused by the gpu you can contact Asus and address the issue. They could provide you a more stable bios. Usually these problems involve unstable vram clocks
