Ryzen 5 2600x vs Ryzen 7 1800x considering buying the 1800x instead since it seems to have more features and is actually a little cheaper because of a big sale I'm not too sure if those features are really worth it since the 2600x has slightly faster turbo speed. From what I can tell AMD64 Technology and AMD Virtualization Technology sound like they may be the most useful for gaming.( I use nox sometimes) Should I just get the ryzen 7 since its newer or go for the ryzen 5?
Btw I have read some of threads asking the same thing but I'm still on the fence about it since some say the ryzen 5 is better.

so they have the same features excluding the extra cores just they aren't listed on amd's or that microcenter's site? I'm reading on wikipedia that the non X models don't list the features but they still have them just not as much as the newer ryzens.

The X models are the same chip just clocked higher from the factory. I would buy the X model if you don't plan on overclocking but it is very easy to do on your own. The 1800X only gets you two extra cores but is older. I would only get that one if you plan on doing heavy video editing and a lot of streaming. Both of which the 2600X can handle well just slower. What do you plan on doing with your computer mostly?
