There may be a thread on this, however I cant pinpoint one answering my question fully. Newegg has some deals as we near black Friday so I'm thinking about upgrading my memory to a higher frequency. I know you're typically supposed to buy memory in complete kits at your desired capacity and speed, but does it really make much of a difference to buy two separate kits of the exact same memory? I thought about buying 16gb @ 3200 now (since there is a deal and that's all I can afford at the moment), and then buying the second kit in a few weeks when I have the funds again. Any and all information is appreciated.

A matched set in one package has been tested to work together, buying 2 packs of memory in 2 different sets can cause problems it might work fine, it might not work together, and you might be able to adjust, timings, and/or speed, and/or voltage and make it work together.
