I'm installing a TT Floe Riing 360 AIO cooler on an i9-9900k.
I didnt realize it beforehand, but the heat sink has pre applied thermal compound. I had purchased some MX4 to use.

Is it worth it to remove the factory provided thermal stuff and apply my own?

Worth it as far as seeing big temperature decreases? Not really. Worth it since you already have the nice paste and it will only take a minute to remove the old stuff? Might as well.

Yeah, use the MX4, its far better than the chalky paste that comes pre-applied. Sometimes that stuff oxidizes more than you think while it sits in packaging.

But couldn't agree more with huntlong - you have better stuff handy, just wipe the block clean and apply the good compound.
