I'm planning to upgrade my computer pretty soon, including the GPU. I currently have a GTX 760 (XFX 650 W PSU). Right now, newegg has a deal that ends Sunday (seen here: MSI GeForce GTX 1070 Ti DirectX 12 GTX 1070 Ti DUKE 8G 8GB 256-Bit GDDR5 PCI Express 3.0 x16 HDCP Ready SLI Support Video Card)
It's about $355 after taxes, which is really good from what I can tell.
My alternative option is to wait until the 2060 comes out and getting that instead. I was originally planning on getting a 1060, but figured that it would be better to go a step up so it lasts longer. My concerns are that a) the 2060 will be crazy expensive and/or b) the 2060 will be a disappointment, and c) if in either of those scenarios I decide to not do the 2060, the 1070 Ti will be unavailable or back up to $400+ prices.
I know we don't know for sure what price, performance, or release date of the 2060 will be yet, but based on your experience, how likely is it that I will regret passing up this 1070 Ti deal (e.g. 2060 ends up being more expensive than the 1070Ti, or around the same price but significantly less powerful, and this price for 1070Ti won't be available when/f that happens)?
Thanks.
