X370 crosshair vi hero or b450 gaming pro carbon for R5 2600?

Hey,

I am going to build my first pc and I was wondering if I should buy a x370 crosshair vi Hero or the b450 msi pro carbon ac?
Do I need a Bios update for the x370(and can I do it myself with the 2600)?
Is the Sound on the asus board better? What about the lan connection?
I will overclock the cpu in maybe a few years(not extreme).

The Asus board would be a whole lot better, in spite of it being a gen older. Not much vital changed from the 300-series to the 400-series, anyway.

More than likely, yes. You will need to update the BIOS unless the board is coming from a fast-turnover retailer like Newegg or Amazon. And they would have a notice that the board was Ryzen II ready. If you don't see that, you'll likely have to take advantage of AMD's loaner CPU offer.
