PC reboots while gaming

So my pc just randomly reboots while playing some videogames!

Not all videogames

It happens while playing fortnite. But not always.

Everything is staying cool so i dont know what the problem is.

Specs:
Gtx 980
i7-5930k
16 GB ram
Asus x99a

It only happens while gaming and it doesnt happen with all games. Someone pls help!

Not sure i only know its 550 wats

but this problem is only since like 2 weeks i didnt have it before

But its not happening on every game though only on some of them

My firs suspect for these random reboots would be the GPU. But testing and verifying the memory on the GPU is next to impossible. And to rule out something easy like your main system memory, you probably should do a memtest86 on that, but chances are you would not find anything there. So if possible, borrow a video card from someone else, worse yet buy a gtx1060 and return it afterwards. And as far as it being just some games, I bet if you tried hard enough and test them all thoroughly you'll find the crashes on all game. I had video card flake like the symptoms you described. Eventually only by replacing the GPU did the problems finally stop.
