CPU Thermal Issues and overheating

Hi all,

So I have had my PC for a little while now and I cant say I have ever seen it working as well as some others PC's, Which wouldn't normally bother me but I have the exact same specs as some of my friends...

I currently have the below.
Intel i7 6700k (On the Stock clock at the moment)
Asus Maximus Hero VIII Motherboard,
Corsair H115i Water Cooler
2x Asus Strix ROG 1070 OC

And I am basically seeing issues that appear to be overheating. I have tried changing TIM on the processor, but it still hits over 90 degrees and I am fairly certain is ruining my PC. I've also tried the plastic washer fix for the H115i which seemed to make a minimal difference but still I keep receiving the below and it's slightly concerning me. I am wondering what would be the next steps?

This was temps while sitting in a lobby in Fortnite, If I play Black Ops 4 then my processor hits 100% usage and 100c on the temps at times. At idle, it seems to sit at 30-50. and the room temp I would say would be around 20-24.

Okay those temps are just not right...Can you check the speed of the H115 pump in Hardware info to make sure the pump is working...If so, I can only assume that you have a bad fit with the H115 to the CPU...I would also take the washer of and retry as that might just be causing a slight issue on fit....I know the cooler looks loose when you first install it but it usually does tighten up okay.

Now I know you have tried to re-install with new TIM but I would try again just to make sure. You should be getting around low 30's C in idle and max 50 to 60 degrees C in gaming....

if you could try a air cooler on this cpu and check temp this will help find is pump does is job also carefully check if you connected the pump and fan on the right header on the board also check if you have the i-link connected to aa usb port as tel by cooler manual user .

I will take a look at these for sure, The Fan does spin up and down periodically and is visible from with icue, I can also feel a sort of buzzing on the coolant pipes on the H115 itself. Also in response to the remove the washers, I had to put them on as it was getting astronomically hot a lot quicker without them there. Although I will try and get an air cooler and see what temps I get with them. Would there be an issue with the TIM under the IHS at all? I have read a bit about people deliding them and changing the TIM however I am concerned about doing so, That also being said, would it be worth cooling it without the IHS on? if that is actually possible?

I have been looking into getting an EK Waterblock and custom loop so that I can in turn cool the graphics cards with water too.

I've never ran the CPU without a cooler, and I can feel that there is liquid flow and the fans are definitely spinning up so I'm pretty sure the cooler is working, but just not cooling or having the desired effect it should. I am curious to know if you can set up a water cooler like the H115i (Or a custom loop) to cool the CPU directly if I were to de-lid it at all?

I'm going to try and get myself an air cooler and see if that resolves my issues.
