My rig is:
I7-7700k 4.2ghz stock non overclocked
Msi gtx 1070 ti gaming x
8 gb of ram ddr4 2.4 mhz
600w evga psu
Arctic freezer 33 esports one cooler on the cpu
Hello guys already saying thanks to anyone stopping by to help, I recently got this new cpu and I thermal pasted it put a nice cooler on it and whenever i start the pc in idle it will stay between 40-50 degrees then all of a sudden heat spikes come in place easily hitting 80-90 and staying there for a while whenever I try to launch a game I get 100 on the cpu and it stays there
The few options I heard from people are:
16GB ram instead of 8
Lower voltages now for this one I got a motherboard Msi b250m pro vdh which cannot touch voltages in the bios, anyways I found my cpu was kind of locked at 1.340 voltages which is really high and not preferred for this cpu keep in mind it’s running 4.2ghz completely stock.
I’m seeking for help to fix this cpu
A few tips I have in mind but not sure about yet are;
Buy a new motherboard and lower voltages
Delid cpu and change the paste inside with liquid metal which seems to help almost everyone since people are saying intel has xxxxxx inside cpu paste
Whoever has an opinion please share with me I will greatly appreciate it, thanks for reading!
